Shaping Tomorrow
As a recipient of Older Americans Act funding, Centralina Area Agency on Aging must engage in ongoing planning efforts to meet the evolving needs of the region’s older adults, caregivers and aging service providers. We developed the plan with input from the North Carolina Division of Aging, older adults, caregivers and aging service providers, outlining needs and proposed recommendations. To reflect emerging trends, we update the plan every four years.
We developed the current Area Plan for Region F (Anson, Cabarrus, Iredell, Gaston, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly and Union Counties) with input from over 1,000 surveys of older adults, focus groups, over 120 providers, volunteers and staff, as well as demographic data. The 2024-2028 Area Plan contains goals, strategies and measures for our programs and services.
