This session will explore the emotional, physical, and practical challenges caregivers often face, while highlighting effective strategies, local and national resources, and ways to reduce caregiver stress and burnout. Participants will also be introduced to GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience), a new Medicare program focused on improving care coordination, enhancing support for family caregivers, and helping individuals with dementia remain safely in their homes and communities for as long as possible.
